For the festive season in Martigues, France, Chronix® presents “Illusion Géométrique”, an immersive architectural light show designed for Europe Évènement. This luminous creation explores perception, volume and geometry through a scenography that is at once minimal, spectacular and resolutely contemporary.
The installation is made up of a sequence of 15 illuminated triangles, each one 1.50 metres to a side, set against one another with a precise 4° offset. This progressive rotation generates a striking geometric illusion: a perfectly aligned reading head-on, contrasting with a spectacular three-dimensional unfolding when the work is viewed from the side.
The strength of Illusion Géométrique lies in this dual reading, inviting the audience to move around the installation to reveal its full spatial complexity. Light becomes matter, tracing shifting perspectives and turning the urban space into a field of visual experimentation.
The scenography was conceived jointly by Chronix and Europe Évènement, and produced together. The animation rests on a bespoke encoding perfectly synchronised to the soundtrack, the fruit of an intensive week of programming, guaranteeing millimetre precision between light, rhythm and structure.
With Illusion Géométrique, Chronix demonstrates its expertise in bespoke light shows, immersive geometric scenography and sound-synchronised lighting design, in the service of powerful, memorable visual experiences for the public realm.
